Overview Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Year-round position; weekend and holiday work as course conditions and operational needs require. Compensation: $75,000 minimum base salary, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits negotiable. Reports To: Director of Golf / POA Leadership About the Role Hidden Valley Golf Club is hiring a Golf Course Superintendent to lead our entire maintenance operation: the course, the equipment barn, and the team that runs both. This is a management role. We need a superintendent with enough technical command of course maintenance to direct it with authority, but we value leadership, disciplined operations, and the judgment to make sound decisions without waiting to be told. What We're Looking For Technical Expertise: Deep, hands-on knowledge of turfgrass science, agronomy, irrigation systems, and equipment, to diagnose a problem anywhere on the course and direct the fix. Leadership & Culture: Runs the barn: sets the tone, drives process improvements, and builds a team that's disciplined and accountable. Supervisory Management: Builds smart schedules, organizes crews, maximizes labor hours, and communicates clearly with both leadership and staff. Autonomy & Ownership: Makes sound decisions independently, owns the outcomes, and acts without waiting to be told. Business acumen is a plus, not a requirement. We'll teach it. What we can't teach is judgment, discipline, and leadership. Qualifications Minimum three to five years of golf course maintenance experience, including direct supervisory responsibility. Degree or certification in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience and demonstrated leadership will be given full weight. Comprehensive working knowledge of turfgrass science, irrigation systems, and maintenance equipment. Demonstrated ability to lead, discipline, and develop a team. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs. Benefits Compensation & Benefits $75,000 minimum base salary, commensurate with experience. Year-round schedule with weekend and holiday work as needed; supportive work-life-balance culture. Nine paid holidays annually and Paid Time Off (PTO) Professional membership dues reimbursed (e.g., GCSAA), up to $1,500 annually. Additional benefits (e.g., memberships, additional PTO, signing bonus) are negotiable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
